Dr. Tomlinson’s background is in Community Media, teaching citizens how to use digital technology to become active producers versus passive consumers of information in Dallas, Texas and Fayetteville, Arkansas. Earning a BA in Radio/Television from the University of Texas at Arlington, she developed and taught curriculum in the Music and Video Business program at the Art Institute of Dallas and has produced award-winning videos and television programs. Dr. Tomlinson earned an MS in Instructional Design Technology from Walden University to keep up with technological innovations in teaching and learning. She completed her dissertation, entitled “Understanding Instructional Needs of Entrepreneurs Learning Social Media Marketing”, to obtain a PhD in Education Technology and Human Sciences with a specialization in Learning, Instruction, & Innovation.
Currently teaching online for the College of Education at Grand Canyon University Master of Science in Instructional Design; and, Touro College Graduate School of Education M.S. in Education and Special Education, Educational Technology in General and Special Education.
